March: The Fool

Hi folks, it's Fox! I'm so excited to welcome you to my first installment of Fox's Wild Card, where I'll pull a single Tarot card to inspire and motivate our month, courtesy of Sunshine Maker's Market.

The beauty of a single-card pull is the simplicity of the message. When I was first learning Tarot 5 years ago, I would pull one card a day and try to memorize its meaning and emulate its energy. This can be such a fruitful exercise for folks as it opens us up to divine guidance outside of our normal routes of decision-making and reflection. This month, amazingly enough, I pulled The Fool.

I literally *could not* have picked a better card for us all to reflect on, or a better card for our first installment together! The Fool represents the triumphant start of our grand journey, and is the first card in the Major Arcana (Big Life Experiences). We all start life as The Fool, emanating the spirit of childlike innocence and faith in the world. These big feelings beckon us to literally jump off the edge of the known and free-fall into the arms of the universe.

At The Fool's side is their trusty white doggo, who represents loyalty and protection. I read this canine companion as our support system we carry with us as we make the big scary decisions (our friends, family, professional connections etc). And in the Fool's hand? An umbrella full of the cosmos, representing all the ways in which the tender & loving universe will guide us on our journey through the unknown.

There is true purpose indicated in pulling The Fool, which can indicate a mission-driven path full of transformation. This isn't just a fun trip to Joshua Tree- this is more Narnia-adjacent. So buckle-up!

For small business owners:

If you've been putting off a riskier venture when it comes to your business, The Fool says All Systems Go! We learn by doing, and the only true failure is not giving it a go.

Of course, every Tarot card has a Sun side and a Shadow. In the Shadow of the Fool is recklessness, abandon and ignorance. As small business owners, we must leap, but we must learn as we go as well.

It's normal for us all to make mistakes as we find our niche in the world, but how (and what) we learn from these mistakes makes all the difference. As we build our skillset from all of the risks we take, we move closer to becoming The Magician, the next card in the Major Arcana after The Fool.

Overall The Fool welcomes your lightheartedness, your beauty & playful energy, your excitement. Do the thing! Make your life exactly what you want it to be! It allllll starts with a leap.

Thanks so much for reading, folks! Wishing you all a beautiful March full of joy, connection, and allll the pentacles your pockets can handle.

In Love & Wonder,

Fox
